The Cleveland Clinic Tanya I. Edwards, MD Center for Integrative Medicine is seeking a full-time physician due to expanding needs. The Center for Integrative Medicine has been dedicated to addressing the increased demand for integrative healthcare by researching and providing access to care that addresses the physical as well as emotional, spiritual and lifestyle needs of patients.

As part of our Integrative Healthcare team the applicant must have experience in development and implementation of Integrative treatment plans for the management and reversal of chronic diseases as well as interventions for wellness, health optimization and prevention. We emphasize assessment and treatment of underlying functional imbalances that drive chronic disease. Applicants will work with a team of multi-level providers and Integrative providers in the areas of Chinese Medicine, including Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Therapy, Chiropractic, Massotherapy, and Holistic Psychotherapy. There are many opportunities to provide local and national lectures on Integrative health and wellness. Our staff participates in teaching of medical students and residents. This position does not require “on call” responsibilities and currently has no weekend hours.

The ideal candidate will have advanced training in Integrative Medicine and Functional Medicine with Board Certification or Fellowship training in Integrative Medicine. At least one year experience providing Integrative Medicine in a clinical setting is preferred.

WRIISC-DC & IHW/Hub Integrative Medicine Fellow, 
Washington DC VA Medical Center Announcement

The Washington D.C. War Related Illness and Injury Study Center (WRIISC-DC) and the Integrative Health and Wellness Program/Hub (IHW/Hub) provides complementary and integrative care for Veterans in a comprehensive clinic setting. Veterans may be referred to the IHW/Hub as an outpatient service through their Washington DC VA Medical Center (DCVAMC) providers as part of a hospital wide referral program to the Integrative Medicine Track, or as national referral patients in the context of WRIISC's role as a specialty center focusing on the multi-faceted post-deployment health challenges in returning combat troops.  

The WRIISC and IHW/Hub seeks an Integrative Medicine Fellow for a year-long position developing the clinical skills to practice pro-active patient centered medicine in a variety of clinical environments. The fellow will spend 4 days per week at the WRIISC-DC and IHW hub and will have the opportunity to practice Integrative Medicine (IM) physician consults, develop coordinated care plans for Veterans with complex multi-symptom illnesses and chronic health challenges, and provide additional program support for FY15-FY16. The fellow will also have the opportunity to consult with other services, physicians, and providers across the Washington DC VA Medical Center and work within a multidisciplinary team. Additionally, the fellow will spend 1 day per week at the George Washington Center for Integrative Medicine (GW CIM).

Term of Fellowship: July 1st 2015 to July 1st 2016.

Integrative Nurse Practitioner - Hematology & Oncology
Supportive Care and Wellness Program

Transform your career as an Outpatient Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator within a new Supportive Care and Wellness clinical and research program for adult cancer patients at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, an ideal setting for interdisciplinary interaction and collaboration. In this role, you will be responsible for providing outpatient supportive care and integrative medicine services to a diverse patient population in the Herbert Irving Pavilion, and facilitating clinical research in this population. Specifically, this will include intensive symptom management, educational programming for colleagues, and psychosocial support for patients and families. Work independently, while also collaborating with a core team that includes a palliative care physician, palliative care nurse practitioner, acupuncturist, nutritionist, social worker and clinical researchers. We are seeking a candidate who also has experience in educating nurses and other professionals in the basic principles and practice of supportive oncology care, palliative care and integrative therapies. Minimum Qualifications: 
Requires Master's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus two years of experience, plus a current New York State NP and RN license.

The qualified candidate is a critical thinker with at least two years of cancer survivorship care. NP experience in an acute, sub-acute, home or outpatient setting. Board certification required. Qualified candidates will have some training in integrative medicine. Ideal candidates are able to function independently and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: 
Experience working in an academic medical center is preferred. Verbal and written Spanish language skills are preferred.
